After reading the first few pages, I'm already hooked (no pun intended). I love the author's writing style and I'm craving more! I love retellings of old stories, and right when I saw the cover and heard that it was a Little Mermaid retelling, I KNEW I would have to add it to my TBR. Thanks to the few sample pages I got off of Readers First, this book is now at the top of my TBR list, and I will be buying it asap or at least borrowing it from one of my friends or the library. I wish the sample pages were longer, because 32 pages simply isn't enough! I NEED the rest of the book in my hands. I've never read this author before, but just after the first few pages, I'm sure she'll be added to my list of favorite authors (some of said authors being J. R. R. Tolkien, Hafsah Faizal, Leigh Bardugo, and Holly Black). After reading this book whenever I get to it, I will certainly be checking out her other works!
