The way that this book is written deserves a round of applause. It’s sometimes difficult to get great story telling/world building and great writing in the same book but this has it all.
Not only does it really drag you into the dark depths of the world but you can picture every little thing that happens due to the outstanding amount of detail. If you truly want to escape in a book then this is the book for you.
With retellings i sometimes struggle to read them until the end because I already know key events that are going to happen but not with this one. Oh no. It had me on the edge of my seat with nail biting anticipation.
This book lit up my mind in not only a fictional sense but it gave me a new lease of life for everything around me. It has definitely kicked my imagination into overdrive and I love it.
Books like this done come around often and this is definitely a 5 star read for me.
