I really believe this book is worth it. I got me out of a reading slump since it has a fast narrative. I found out about this book on booktok (tiktok) and it filled my expectations.
It's basically a Little Mermaid retelling only that it is with a darker story/ plot. Lira, our female protagonist, is the heir to Keto and as a tradition, the sirens need to collect a heart for every of their birthdays and Lira was known as the Prince's Bane since she always kept the hearts of princes on land. Something goes terribly wrong and the Sea Queen banishes her and turning her on what she most hated: a human.
On the other side, the is Elian, the prince of Midasan and Captain of a pirate boat that kills sirens, determined to kill the Prince's Bane.
Throughout of the story, we get to know both of their P.O.Vs.
This follows royalty, enemies to lovers, adventure, fantasy, found family, among many other things!
