I thought this book was very interesting. I love the dark aesthetic of this book. I think it’s right to say that this book was a cool retelling of the little mermaid. I like how the main character was a siren and I just love the personalities of the characters mix I am not a big fantasty fan- but this book was really good. I liked the relationship between Princess Lira and Princess Eilan.I really enjoyed their interactions and seeing them fall for each other! If you are a big fan of slow-burn romance, I definitely reccomend this book to you. Not going to lie, I wasn’t a big fan of the ending. I think it could have been better. The romance in this book is the “I need to kill you but I’m in love with you too lols” type. It also reminds me of the daughter of the Pirate King. It’s super interesting. It’s very dark though (I am not sure if I mentioned that lol) but I definitely reccomend!
