The story follows Cecelia and Sebastian, who like any twins, will go to great lengths to protect each other. They grew up with an abusive father and no mother, so protecting each other was important. When the'r mother's secrets appear, Cecelia tries to break free of her brother, whereas Sebastian is determined to keep them together - whatever it takes.
It’s full of twists and turns, and the secrets come tumbling out by the end of the book. It keeps you gripped with the story, it took me just over a day to get through it, wanting to find out what on earth is going on!
It did actually traumatise me a little, for reasons I won't spoil, though. Might not read it again if I had the choice to do so!
