The cover was suitable mysterious, a silhouette in a window on a dark night. The extract is a bit slow to get going, a man is tasked with breaking into a property to retrieve something but he has trouble finding anything - before people return to the property forcing him to make a hasty exit. He waits outside for the party to be over, but the people inside stumble across what he was looking for hidden in a closet. The excerpt leaves us hanging just enough, what's in the boxes they find, does the man manage to retrieve the boxes from the party people. And then how does that fit in with the larger story we are told about in the blurb?
Seems to be quite a long book at over 500 pages, so in Jo Nesbo territory. Hopefully it flows as easily as his books do as you hardly notice the length and the pages fly by when they are so well written. I've never read any from this author before but i am suitable intrigued so far.
