The cover looks sharp and moody, so I was disappointed that I wasn't bowled over by this one. The story didn't grab me instantly, nor did it grow on me as it progressed.
I found the end of the excerpt to be the most intriguing - what exactly WAS in that box that was so shocking?! If I'm honest, discovering that would be the only reason I'd read on.
