I didn't want it to end. That's the first and most concise way I can sum up my read of the first look. Everyone knows that the Nordic countries are the best when it comes to writing crime, and reading the first look of Top Dog introduced me to Jens Lapidus. Lapidus is a lawyer living in the books setting of Stockholm and he works as a lawyer for criminals of the underworld and such, so really it seems like he's the best person to write this book.
The prose is engaging yet easy to read and the settings and characters believable. I thoroughly enjoyed the first look of Top Dog and have added the book to my read list as I intend to find out what's in the box one way or another!
