I usually don't read much mystery and thriller but this year I've decided to diversify my taste a bit. I quite liked the beginning, it gave me a short taste into what the main character Adan felt.
The writing of the extract was not overly descriptive as the sentences were short. I liked how the writing was a balance between Adan's thoughts and his surroundings. I could sense the urgency within the writing and could feel the urge to move as Adan moved.
Though I doubt that Roksana was another main character, I thought she was an interesting addition. She's very unapologetically feminist and is not willing to have men step over her. And also with her use of the words 'mansplaining' and such.
I'm quite interesting with how the story is going to progress.
