Unfortunately I was not able to get into this book - I found it disjointed and there was a lot of info-dumping that I found it difficult to get through. I DNF'd at 100 pages and that was a struggle. I restarted it a number of times and I am admitting defeat.

I am so sorry that I didn't enjoy the book, I think if there was something happening to grab my attention after the introduction I would have been more invested in the story, however as it stands there were too many characters to keep track of especially being introduced in such a short period of time.

I will say however that the prologue does demonstrate the authors ability to write - it is atmospheric and tense - which is what drew me to this book in the first instance. However, once the momentum is lost I don't think it will get it back

Sorry but if you enjoy a slow burn book this may be for you
