Great writing - the narrative is cut into chunks while Hope is out on a big night, reflecting the reality of losing chunks of time when drinking... we can imagine clearly the party atmosphere of the holiday. Although really well written, I don't think this book is for me. I can't think of anything worse than a holiday like this, so find it difficult to relate to the characters.
