This is a fantastic book, which realistically portrays the awkwardness (and sometimes plain awfulness) of trying to stay friends with an ex after a break up. Hope's optimism that she can keep her same friendship group after the break up was painfully reminiscent to me of a similar situation that I once faced, so it was hard to read at times - but that just means it was incredibly well written! I like books that are not afraid to be gritty and real, and this for me was definitely truthful.
This book goes to some dark places, so it should probably come with a few trigger warnings, and it isn't one to read if you're sensitive to this kind of thing. However, it is an excellent book and I would certainly look to read more by this author in future.
