When I had the chance to receive and early copy of this book, I jumped at the opportunity. It sounded like something that would be right up my street, and genuinely thought I'd eat it up. It sounded like the book would be one of those with no set plot, which is not a bad thing, and instead, it would just be a small snippet; a small look into the main characters life. I thought it would feel like they had lived a life before the first page, and then after I had finished reading the last page, but I'm upset to say it just was not for me.

My first problem, and maybe the main problem I had with the book, came with the writing. I'm sure Cloke is a a good writer, but I found that the language she used to portray these young characters was just far too cringy for my liking. There was so much of this type of language used throughout that it made it hard for me to enjoy reading, so it took me what seemed like forever to read.

I'm not sure if I'd pick up another one of Cloke's books in the future for fear of the same language being overused.
