This book wasn’t what I expected. I expected it to be set completely around the holiday that Hope and her friends go on - and yet, despite the fact that this book was nothing like I’d expected, I still found it a very good read.

It’s a slow start, but once it gets going you’ll find it hard to put down. The book is split into three POVs, which I found worked really well. The only thing that did disappoint was that I didn’t feel there was much that happened plot wise - it seemed that there was going to be a bigger mystery behind the storyline, but it was revealed to be unconnected with the story the author was telling.

This book dealt with deep themes such as alcohol abuse, depression, rape etc. All the issues were dealt with extremely well by the author, and I highly recommend this book - just perhaps not if you’re about to go on a friends holiday yourself!
