I thoroughly enjoyed this, although I wasn’t certain what to expect!

I loved the history involved in the tale, and the clever micture of fact and fiction in the way the storyline wove together. I have long enjoyed the facts behind the story of Guy Fawkes and the origins of Bonfire Night, and this story was perfect for this interest.

Whether you already enjoy reading about the topic or are visiting it for the first time through this novel, you wontcan be disappointed. The autjor clearly has done reading on the topic, and the characters reactions are feasible based upon society at the time.

If you enjoy Historical fiction then this is certainly a story that you should give a go! I enjoyed every page and couldn’t wait to see what was going to be done next!

Also the summary: Behind the famous rhyme lies a murderous conspiracy that goes far beyond Guy Fawkes and his ill-fated Gunpowder Plot . . .
In a desperate race against time, spy Christian Hardy must uncover a web of deceit that runs from the cock-fighting pits of Shoe Lane, to the tunnels beneath a bearbaiting arena in Southwark, and from the bad lands of Clerkenwell to a brutal firefight in The Globe theatre.
But of the forces ranged against Hardy, all pale beside the renegade Spanish agent codenamed Realm. just amazing!!
