Within a few sentences, my expectations for the novel did a 180! From what seemed to be an emotional tale about Ellen's battle with her inability to bear children, sprung a tantalising thriller. I'm excited to see how the author tackles the emotional beats whilst achieving the tension built by the drug baby.
