From the blurb alone I was intrigued. What began as a simple and almost over-done concept of a baby being left in mysterious circumstances was elevated by the notion of a note being left along with it. This was no average note, but rather one that indicated a sinister reason to protect the child. Who is this baby? Why is it so significant? It encourages the reader to want to read on. I certainly do!
