So much has happened in just a handful of pages. A young mum (Kathryn) with a small baby and telltale signs of domestic abuse randomly meets a woman on the train who would love to be a mum but can’t conceive (Ellen). In a very strange and heart wrenching twist this young mother gives up her baby to the woman who can’t conceive. It’s almost like fate. But why does Kathryn have to give Mia up? Who is in danger and why? Most of all, who is the freaky man in black on the train or in Ellen just now completely paranoid. In 4 chapters this books has opened every can of worms possible and has gripped me; opening my mind to all the wild possibilities as to why baby Mia has been abandoned and what steps Ellen will next take. I love that the book title already makes sense so early on into the book and I also love the uniformity in T.M.Logan’s covers. I have read and was a big fan of The Holiday and the appearance is very similar which helps you immediately recognise the author based on the cover presentation.
