I have read some of TM Logan’s previous books and loved them, so when I saw Trust Me was available to review, I cheered!
Ellen, recently separated from her husband, has just seen his new partner’s social media post - a 12 week baby scan, made all the more difficult by the fact that Ellen is unable to have children. Ellen is on a train, returning home from from an appointment with her specialist, when a young woman, Kathryn, carrying a baby girl called Mia asks to sit with her and after a while, asks Ellen to look after baby Mia while she answers a phone call. When the train pulls into the next station, Ellen sees Kathryn hurrying away down the platform, having left baby Mia, and a rucksack containing a note addressed to Ellen asking her to look after the baby and not contact the police.
There’s also a man on the train who Ellen believes has taken photos of her and the baby, so when he follows her off the train the tension really mounts.
I am so invested in this book already, I can’t wait to read more.
