I'm a sucker for thrillers, however, I usually avoid anything to do with children as I'm s mother myself.
Ellen meets Kathryn and Mia on the train. Ellen has been reminiscing about her broken marriage and lack of children of her own when Kathryn sits down opposite of her with Mia, a 3 month old baby.
When Kathryn makes a hasty getaway from the train leaving Mia with Ellen, the reader realises that the hidden bruises on Kathryns arms hide a sinister secret.
The first taste of this book has me wanting more. I want to know what happens to Mia, and to Ellen. Will Ellen ignore the normal instinct of going to the police. Could it be that her thirst for children is that strong? I don't know yet, so I'm looking forward to reading more :)
