This was my first TM Logan book, it won’t be my last. I do think though that if you’re reading this you need to put your disbelief to one side and just enjoy the story for what it is, a relatively fast paced thriller.

I read this book in a couple of days, although I was sunning myself on holiday which makes it easier to read. Although I read it quickly there were a few things wrong with the book. I couldn’t relate at all to the main character Ellen, and her instance to put herself in danger and find things out for herself!! She was a rather annoying busybody.

Also having knowledge of how the police operate I did find myself saying ‘that wouldn’t happen!!!’ several times.

Aside from that there are lots of twists and turns as you try to find out why on earth Mia, the baby needs protecting and from whom. The great thing is there are four or five potential suspects. I did guess who ‘it’ was before the end but I didn’t mind that.

All in all a good fast paced thriller.
