I knew that I would enjoy this book as soon as I started to read it. Not the initial subject matter of relationships and fertility on page one but the fact that it was leading to so much more. This wasn't ever going to be a slow paced story. By page two it was clearly going to be a fast paced crime novel that was going somewhere. When Ellen is asked to hold a strangers baby on a train for a few minutes the paranoia begins. The whole story is based on the dishonesty and trust of the police, criminals and family while working out who is on whose side. This is action packed edge of the seat reading with lots of twists, turns and characters but it is easy to follow. I could easily have read this in one go if life hadn't got in the way and did find myself losing track of time as I was so engrossed in the storytelling right to the very end. I will be looking out for other T M Logan books now.
