This book had me gripped from the very start. Ellen meets a stranger on a train with a baby called Mia. Ellen's character is described very well and I really warmed to her. Who is the woman that leaves her child with Ellen on the train? Why has she done this? Why does she put all her trust in Ellen to look after Mia? It's very intriguing and I want to read on to find out what happens next. The mother of Mia isn't named and is a stranger to Ellen. Ellen is desperate to be a mother and the story hints that Ellen may pretend that Mia is her own child. The characters are very descriptive and I feel i got to know them very well from the first no of pages in the book. It's a very gripping story so far and i am very intrigued to find out what will happen next. Will Ellen find the stranger? Why hasnthe stranger left her child with Ellen? Is she in danger? Will she keep Mia safe? Does that mean Ellen is also in danger? Will she meet the strangers abusive boyfriend along the way? Will she be so desperate and keep Mia and bring her up as her own child? There are so many questions in need answering. This was a very gripping start to a book. I loved it.
