Ellen meets a woman on a train, and helps the stranger by holding her baby while she takes a phone call, not knowing that it will lead to her life changing forever.

Logan throws us right into the action, hooking us from the beginning. I loved the main character Ellen and I really felt connected to her within the first couple chapters. She came across as genuine, brave, and really likeable, and I really enjoyed having her as a strong female character lead. The narrative switches between a couple characters, and this has been done really well, as I’m a picky reader when it comes to switching narratives as it can mess up the pacing if done wrong.

The plot is fast paced, with a couple spots to allow you to have a breather and regain yourself. The deception and misdirection which is created around Ellen makes for a tense and suspenseful read, as you never really know the truth. The conclusion was very well executed. I did have a big suspicion about the reveal but was not disappointed even with knowing where it was heading.

This is my first read from T.M. Logan, and after Trust Me I’m interested in reading more of their work!
