Another brilliant book by this author T M Logan. They write books that you just can't put down, your engrossed from the beginning until the end and then you want more.
The main character is Ellen's life is falling apart she is distraught, separated from her husband and is unable to conceive despite trying for many years.
On a train home after another distressing clinic appointment she learns on social media that her ex and his new partner are having a baby. A young lady sits opposite her with a gorgeous baby girl and they get chatting. The girl seems worried and upset about something, her phone keeps ringing and she can't take her eyes of it, she asks Ellen to hold baby Mia for a moment while she takes a call. Ellen doesn't want to hold the baby as she wants her own baby but she takes her as the young girl looks afraid if she doesn't answer, she then disappears and Ellen sees the lady get off the train and leave Mia behind. What happens next is just brilliant.
