From the word go this book had me hooked! I would quite easily say that it is the best book I have read so far this year!
I found it a fairly easy read, the language and writing style used was easy enough to read and it flowed well. The book was split into days and character points of view which made it different each time I picked it up. The author has a brilliant way of keeping you reading - just as you think you are going to discover something, he moves on to a different day or part. I thought that was great and kept my interest. I generally read at night before bed and often found myself staying up later just to get more pages read. That is always the sign of a good book for me.
I loved the leading lady and found that I felt sorry for her and cheered her on in certain parts. Sometimes when you don't gel well with a character, it makes the book impossible to complete but I loved Ellen. I did question her behaviour at the start of the book - not going straight to the police etc. but it would have been a boring book if she had.
