One of my favourite things about this website is the opportunity to discover new authors. Although I'd previously seen one of this author's books advertised, I'd never got round to reading it (The Holiday). The fact is, I don't get as much time to read as I used to. In my job (which I love so I'm not complaining), I go home so exhausted that I can rarely concentrate on reading. However, with this book, I could not put it down. Every chapter seemed to end with a cliffhanger or a hint of a twist. It had something that I personally really love with books - short chapters. For a book lover with limited time, short chapters make a book easier to just pick up briefly and also easier to digest. Right up until the end, it was impossible to know who to trust. I kept changing my mind and convincing myself I'd worked it all out. That's surely the sign of a well-written thriller. I was captivated by the main characters; it's one of those books where you feel like you've met real people through the character development (although I'm not sure which ones I'd actually want as friends!). Thank you to Readers First, as I've now added all of T M Logan's other books to my Amazon list. I'm hopeful the others will be just as thrilling and 'unputdownable'!
