Right from the very first page of this book I became hugely addicted and invested. I read it in less than 24 hours, that’s how good it is!
We start the book meeting Ellen, she’s on a train when a stranger, seemingly troubled, asks her to hold her baby whilst she takes a phone call. The stranger exits the rain leaving Ellen holding the baby and a cryptic note saying to protect the baby, don’t trust the police, don’t trust anyone. Ellen is drawn into a series of events, abduction, assault, burglary, murder. She begins digging around a bit herself to try and find out what’s going on. Can she find out who the baby really is and why it is so much danger.
This was a fast paced, edge of the seat read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
