I have seen the author TM Logan advertised a lot recently and I was excited to read my first book of his.
From the first chapter I was hooked. It went straight into the story with Ellen on the train chatting to a young mother who seemed a little distracted from persistent calls on her phone. When the mother asks Ellen to hold the baby she gladly accepts to help out. She becomes increasingly concerned when the mother gets off the train to walk away on the platform. Ellen tries not to panic and thinks there must be a reasonable explanation. A note found with the baby is mysterious and puts more questions into Ellen's head.
The story quickly progresses into a strong desire to protect the baby but she doesn't know who from. Anyone could be a threat. Ellen becomes a target and becomes embroiled in a situation way beyond her imagination and it requires her to use all her inner strength.
This was a little far fetched at times with various twists and turns but kept me engrossed until the very end. I have already brought another book of his to read.
