The setting of Rome gives the story a summery, romantic air, but the history of the city leads the story in to its more mysterious angle. The wartime elements that are incorporated into the story promise intricacy, emotion and characters to fall in love with. The cover is also bright and stark, but the finer details encourage me to read on.
