I was drawn in right away, wanting to know more about Tom, his sketchy character, and how Lottie came to be in Rome. The extract was written with just the right amount of detail for the reader to get a rough picture of Lottie and her life whilst making sure not to give away any more secrets to the story. I am very intrigued to learn how the two women in Rome are connected!
