As soon as I started to read this snippet, I was immediately hooked. I think this is a great read. Firstly it brings an anticipating glance into post war Italy which makes it an educational as well as an enjoyable read. It was a little slow to begin but it didn't fail to portray the start of a beautiful atmosphere just by the first two chapters. It will be interesting to see how the book progresses!
