Okay, so as much as the review seems really negative, it's not. I really did enjoy reading this book, and I loved how it was written, and encapsulated the image or Rome... However, from the title, I did assume that one of the main plots of this book was going to be a sapphic love story, about two women who fall in love in the magnificent city of Rome, but unfortunately, this was not that. Aside from that, this book was a rather pleasant experience. It is rather large in hardback form, however this is not to say that that's a bad thing. One detail I liked was the font, it was different to what I'm used to, but in a nice way that made the book perfectly comprehendible, and well, look at the cover! It is absolutely stunning, with the contrasting yellow and purple, and is both bold, and elegant and subtle at the same time. I would definitely recommend as long as you're not expecting a sapphic love story.
