Tom and Lottie are newlyweds, they arrive in Rome and Lottie starts her new job as an archivist.
Whilst working shw discovers tbe case of a lady called Nina Lawrence, the story interests her so she starts investigating it herself out of pure interest.
To anyone else it just looks like Nina works restoring post war gardens.
But Nina has secrets and Lottie is determined to unravel what they are.
For me this took a while to warm up and I think its one of those books that just didn't live upto the hype and the blurb sounded better than the story actually delivered.
Didn't enjoy all the spying abd politics stuff it just wasn't my cup of tea.
The ending was a little ambiguous for me and I kind of wanted more to happen and know a little bit more as to the characters and their fates.
It was ok but not an overwhelming wow read for me.
