It was a good read, and I did enjoy the plot as well as the character development throughout the story and it was for these two reasons I kept up with reading the book.
However, I personally didn't feel like it needed to be as long as it was. The plot could have moved much faster, without so much between key events, and still had the same amount of impact. There were moments where the extra information left me more lost than engrossed in the story, although it didn't take away too much from the enjoyment of the story.
On the plus side, the description was absolutely beautiful and you could tell the author put time and effort into the depth of the description. Little was left to the imagination as the story flowed so well alongside the intense narration which helped to keep up with the book. It is a complex book that requires the reader to full endorse their energy into trying to navigate it, but it is beautiful.
