I really enjoyed reading this book. Set in the romantic city of Rome, the author paints a picture and the reader can really imagine themselves walking the streets, listening to the locals and immersing themselves in the culture and sights.
However as with all cities there is a history and an undercurrent of mystery.
The book centres around the stories of Nina Lawrence and Lottie Archer, two young English women who have chosen to make Rome their home for different reasons. Nina has been murdered, and twenty years later, Lottie makes it her mission to find out who she was and why she was killed.
In doing so she uncovers several disturbing facts which puts herself in danger, and also affects her relationship with her new husband.
