To be honest, I was disappointed by how this book didn't grip me enough to finish reading it - I DNFed it at page 154. The writing was beautiful, I just couldn't get behind the heavy political base of this book and the constant heavy amounts of description.
However, there were some elements that I quite enjoyed. The two way storyline of the characters Nina and Lottie was nicely done, and I particularly loved how you uncovered things about Nina's life along with Lottie as if you were researching as Lottie herself.
Reading Nina's personal journal entries was very enjoyable and entertaining to me, I loved finding more out about her life and experiences, along with her relationship with Leo and her job. Lottie's piecing together of Nina's life through documents was really nicely done in my opinion.
Overall, nice writing and overall idea, but this book just personally didn't draw me in.
