Thank you readers first for the chance to read Two Women in Rome before publication. I’d really enjoyed the first look so was very excited to get my hands on this book and what a beautiful book it is! Love the purple hard cover!

I liked the dual timeline storytelling and the descriptions of Italy and Rome are wonderful. I felt I could really visualise these places.

I preferred the character of Nina for some reason. I softened to Lottie as the story came to its conclusion but I just found some of her earlier actions and reasonings slightly unbelievable. The main male characters didn’t come out of things smelling of roses, but to say any more would give too much away.

This was my first book by Elizabeth Buchan and I will certainly be looking out for her others now. I really liked the writing style and descriptions, I just wasn’t overly keen on one of the two main characters which is not the authors fault.
