I really enjoyed this book! To be honest, I found the book a bit slow paced and struggled to get into it at first but after the first fifty pages I was hooked and couldn't wait to read more!
I tend to read books set in England or America so I found it really interesting to read a book set in Rome, Italy and see how this country differed in setting to what i'm used to reading. It was captivating to read all about the beautiful city of Rome.
I found the detailed descriptions of the artwork so fascinating, it was so well written that I could picture it in my head whilst reading.
I really liked reading from the two perspectives, Nina Lawrence in the past and Lottie Archer in the present day. These two sides of the story added a depth to the story that I really enjoyed.
I found reading about Lottie's job as an archivist so intriguing as this seems like such a fascinating job.
