I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed Two Women in Rome, I wad expecting a pretty twee tale but this was anything but! Lottie Archer moves to Rome with her husband and uncovers the tragic tale of Nina, who is mysteriously killed. Along the way she uncovers the truths of fascism, communism, and espionage at this time. I really enjoyed the dual narrative/ flashbacks used in this story, it really added to the suspense and drew me in completely. I found Lottie and Nina such sympathetic characters and I really enjoyed both of their narratives. Also, side note but the cover art for this book is so beautiful, the yellow with purple detailing made me buy this immediately when I saw it! Overall, I really enjoyed this book, the writer is clearly very talented and I look forward to reading more of her work! I highly recommend to fans of thrillers and historical fiction!
