Not the sort of novel I’d generally read but the cover jumped out at me with the bright yellow background. The synopsis also sounded interesting so I thought I would give it a try.
The relationship between the main character feels it may unravel through the course of the book maybe as he is hiding things potentially from his past. What skeletons does he have in his closet that he feels he cannot share with his lover. I love history and would love to hear the tales of the documents the archive houses.
Having volunteered in museum settings myself I know how each artefact and document has a story to be told. Being able to discover the stories of those in the past is both rewarding and often emotional especially when their story turns out to be a unhappy one. So it is intriguing what Lottie will discover about what caused Nina’s final farewell to be so lonely.
