This book is the third book in the Maestra series, which I read relatively quickly after it was published. It was quite an interesting read at the time although not my normal subject matter to read. Domina was ok as well and was fast paced. I was therefore happy to finish the series with Ultima, I just had to read it to complete the set. I do think the third book was the best of the three so it really was a case of best until last. Judith returns to a past life to deal with a fake Gauguin at an old auction house. The thrill of the deal makes this book a speedy read as there is adventure and danger. The narrative and old art history was very interesting in this case and it made the book flow. There is a lot of education to be had from this book.

Judith is still such an enigma to me, even now after I have read all three books.
