Wasn't for me
I had read Maestra, and found it entertaining but not necessarily likeable- so with Ultima I thought I'd give LS Hilton another go.
Glamorous Elizabeth( or Judith) is a fake, and this is a story about the art world , truth and lies. It is a big book which covers a lot of ground, literally, but I find it hard when I dislike a character and their actions to really get into the story. Judith is a difficult personality to empathise with, LS Hilton can certainly write an irredeemable heroine!
I did find the plot intriguing but just wasn't comfortable with some of the events during the course of the story, although the black humour on occasion surprised me, overall probably a bit of a marmite novel!
