The author has written a beautiful start to her novel. We meet a few characters told through Wolfie's point of view. I like how the author really gives you a sense of being there in the moment, she describes sounds, smells as well as visual descriptions. I don't know what to expect from this novel at this point as we are only introduced to those in Wolfie's life. But I appreciate the inclusion of Mona's illness and it starts to give hints at how it affects Mona as well as her husband. The cover doesn't really give too much away. Pleasant on the eye but not really eye-catching. A good start.
