I'm sure many people will love this book, it has a nice depth to it and seems well written so far.
The fact it is written from the point of view of elderly people, one of whom clearly is suffering from dementia, and showcases both the mundanes and changes in life and London over the years is fine and probably entertaining or emotionally gripping for some people, the way character are introduced leads to the book having a realistic and community feel

Unfortunately I reached the end of this first impression having been able to vividly picture what the author was describing but without feeling any real draw to make me want to read more.

I do commend the clear understanding and compassion they convey when drawing the reader into the realisation that all is not well with Mona
