This phrase really excited me: ‘A playful, lyrical novel about otherness, change, and the gap between generations in a London community.‘ but I didn’t get this impression from the first impression. I really hope the ‘lyrical’ element is found later on in the book, because that word really excited me. The themes sound great, and I would LOVE to hear more voices from different generations in the London community, and I think other people will too.
