A heartwarming story full of love and nostalgia
This opening captured my heart I could tell I was instantly captivated by what is going to be a story full of life and love and packed with nostalgia. It felt like a black or a tonic to the soul, a tale of intertwined lives of those living with the community with food and love at its heart.
Firstly we are introduced to Wolfie, who smokes salmon and owns a deli , as well as his his splice Mona who is full of life and tells it like it is! I used to live in east London so feel I can relate to the community here and picture them as they go about their lives , I love that food and love underpin this story and as someone who owns an artisan coffee house that I will appreciate the food connection and mentions within the storyline. I have a feeling this book will make you laugh and cry and characters you will fall head over heels in love with as the story unfolds. I really look forward to reading more
