I enjoyed this book, however it wasn't what I expected it to be. I mistakenly formed my opinion at the end of the first chapter. On reading further into the book, I realised it was about a whole community and how they interacted with each other. I liked that it was written from different people's perspectives. It was interesting to get more than one impression of a person from different people. All the characters were so colourful and larger than life. The difference personalities just jumped out of the pages. I felt I was living through each of the characters. They all seemed so real and totally believable. It was good to follow their journey's throughout the year in which it was written. It was an unusual book, which made me feel a wide variety of emotions. You can't always say that about a book. It was deffinately worth the time it took to read.
