I was really looking forward to this book and I was initially drawn to Mona and Wolfie’s story but as the chapters progressed I lost interest. There are so many characters living in and around Victoria Park as a reader I felt I never got to know them sufficiently to form an opinion or care enough to share their ups and downs. I liked the tie back in to Mona and Wolfie later in the book and felt most of the characters were tied in by the end. I just never felt compelled to pick up the book and excitedly read it like other books, wanting to know the conclusion to their lives. I was left with more questions than answers.

The book is a modern reflection of society which I found interesting but again I would have preferred fewer characters with more depth to them. On a positive note I found the book easy to read with a good writing style. Also I liked the book cover.
