This book made me long for post pandemic walks in the park, I absolutely loved how the setting was almost an additional character. Such a moving, easy to read novel, the spectrum of cultures and characters kept me hooked, to the point I couldn’t but this down!
My favourite aspect is how each characters story is told as a different month, the park tying them together is wonderful. To be honest each chapter could easily be a story of its own!
I found the writing style to be accessible, descriptive language which isn’t unnecessary, it was a pleasure to read, I didn’t find myself longing to be done with the page, rather quite sad when I was completed.
For a debut novel, Gemma reeves has knocked it out of the park (excuse the pun) I am so ready to see what else she brings out, as I will most definitely be pre ordering her next novel when it comes out !!
